We Are Coming – Torchwood: Children of Earth is Here

It’s finally here! This evening, Torchwood: Children of Earth makes its North American debut on BBC America in the US at 9 pm and Space in Canada at 10 pm.

We’re less than a week away to the North American debut of Torchwood: Children of Earth. At this point, it’s already aired in the UK, and thanks to some friends across the Atlantic, I was lucky enough to watch it. North America, prepare yourself for one helluva ride! The Televixen’s Sizzling Summer TV Picks – Part 3!

The month of July marks the return of two of my absolute faves – Torchwood and Entourage! Now Torchwood doesn’t get a full season this year, but does have a jaw-dropping 5-part mini series lined up. And the last that we saw Vinnie Chase, after reaching a career low, Martin Scorsese offered him the lead in his next flick!

What Cons Are You Hitting This Year?

gdl-polaris1Last summer, I went to my first sci-fi/fantasy cons, and what an experience they were for this TV fan!

At Polaris 22 in July, I got the chance to see Torchwood’s Gareth David-Lloyd, Moonlight/Veronica Mars star Jason Dohring, and Dead Like Me’s Ellen Muth. In August, it was FanExpo 2008, where I attended a fantastic BSG panel with Edward James Olmos and Aaron Douglas, and discovered the world of Smallville after checking out a session with Michael Rosenbaum and Laura Vandervoort.

There are so many cons and TV festivals being announced; most recently, PaleyFest 09, which I want to check out some day.  I’m hoping to return to both Polaris and Fan Expo this year, but my ultimate goal – San Diego Comicon!

So, any other TV lovers out there planning to hit the con circuit in 2009? And which ones would you recommend?

SciFi Talks Torchwood: Children of Earth

Summer can’t come soon enough for me.  Besides the fact that I hate winter, summer also means that the five night event Torchwood: Children of Earth will be airing!
