A Scene from Tomorrow’s Dollhouse!

I’m pretty darned excited for tomorrow night’s season finale of Dollhouse. I’m going for a bit of positive thinking – chant with me, “Dollhouse will have a second season, Dollhouse will have a second season.”

To get you warmed up for what is surely to be a most excellent hour of TV, here’s a scene from “Omega”:

The folks over at BuddyTV have also started a “Tweet to Save Dollhouse” campaign. If you’re on Twitter, click here to see how you can take part.

Dollverse is also spearheading a Dollhouse DVD pre-order campaign for those planning to purchase on Amazon. For dates and times on when you should pre-order your copy, check this out.

And don’t forget to tell a few friends who haven’t seen Dollhouse before to tune into the finale!

Who’s Next to Die on Fox?

Major spoiler info below if you’re not up to date on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles or House!

Two shocking deaths on Fox within four days … what more can I say?

Brian Austin Green

Brian Austin Green

Now, I knew Brian Austin Green had been cast in The CW’s Body Politic, but I still gasped at his T:SCC character Derek Reese getting a bullet to the head early in Friday night’s stellar episode, “Adam Raised a Cain”. I was surprised, but not shocked. I figured they’d send him out in a big way before the season ended, but props to them for doing it in such a dramatic way!

Kal Penn

Kal Penn

I was stunned, however, by the death of Kal Penn’s Lawrence Kutner on House. His name hadn’t been mentioned in any casting news, TV or otherwise, so I was not expecting him to leave the show. Turns out he’s been cast in a new role – “associate director in the White House office of public liaison”. Fantastic reason to leave the show, and acting for that matter, but this Fox show didn’t candy coat his departure at all.

Does the Fox death toll end with Reese and Kutner this season? Or will some other major characters kick the bucket?

Jack’s Back – But For How Much Longer?

I have to say I’m very pleased that 24 and Jack Bauer are back. Like a phoenix that has risen from the ashes, the first few episodes of Day 7 have managed to restore my faith in this series, recapturing the excitement of its early seasons. But how much longer will we have Jack Bauer saving the world, one excruciating day at a time?

EW’s Ausiello Files pondered the distinct possibility that 24 could end after Day 8, seeing that Kiefer Sutherland’s contract only has another year on it.

The end is on Sutherland’s mind as well. He admits:

“I don’t think about [the end of 24] a lot, but I did this year for the first time … It was one of those weird moments where the stage was unusually quiet; it was like a ghost town. I was looking around [thinking] about all the work that went into building this thing and it hit me: This will end one day, and I’m going to be sad about it.

Wow, I’ve never really thought of the end of 24, but as other great shows like BSG and Lost prepare for series finales, I’m reminded that all good things will come to an end. As much as I’ll miss that action packed 24 hours of buttkicking awesomeness, eight seasons is an excellent run for any show, so if it were to end, I’d be okay with it.

If 24 takes its final bow on the small screen after Day 8, will you be ready to say farewell to Jack Bauer?
